My career began 33 years ago as a photographer.  Quickly I found my place among the Atlanta Film Community where I worked for 20 years.  In 1990 while attending Bible Study Fellowship I asked if anyone knew of a children’s ministry where I could volunteer.  God lead me to Perimeter Church and Camp All American, a Christian Camp for kids.  At camp children, learn Christian principles through sports and games.  For five years I worked with Camp All American, equipping and preparing teams to share this camping concept with Russian nationals.  We discovered Child Evangelism Fellowship produced Christian children’s curriculum in Russian.  Eventually we met CEF trainers; we were so impressed with their training methods we asked them to come to Russia and train with us.  Of course, I made a video to share our story here at home.  In time, I began to realize you don’t have to travel around the world to find kids in need of the Gospel. The CEF trainers I worked with recruited me to the CEF of Georgia, State Board.  Where I served for five years. I have become very passionate about the ministry of CEF, it's extremely effective and kids love it. Since late 2009 I have worked parttime for CEF of Georgia serving in the state office.  My duties are to help change our look in order to attract new people to this amazing ministry.  I am using my talents to promote CEF across our state with photography, video’s and gathering stories along the way.  I am blessed to be serving those who are ministering and sharing the Gospel with Georgia’s children!  I hope and pray you come and get to know CEF and those who are serving here in GA.

After going on a mission trip to New Orleans in 2003 and seeing parents allowing the world to steal their children's innocence, my heart was broken. But I realized I could not lead a child to Christ. What aburden! What was I to do - PRAY. I prayed for eight months, then the Lord lead me to CEF.

My first full training was with Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) and 30 energized teenagers. All summer I helped do 5-Day Clubs and took the Teaching Children Effectively course. By the end of the summer I knew the Lord had called me to be a missionary to children. I then attended the 3 month missionary training in Warrenton, Missouri. It was excellent training in all areas of CEF.

The Lord has guided, provided, and protected every step of the way. My burden for children is greater today than it was in New Orleans. I praise Him for the calling on my life. 

I first heard about CEF in 2002 when I took a class called Teaching Children Effectively (TCE). I wanted to learn more about teaching children about Jesus. Since that TCE course, I could not get enough of CEF! The ministry has such a simple and effective way of sharing the Good News that I kept coming back to everything they were offering! Soon after that the Lord called me to serve Him full time with CEF. It is such a blessing to get to teach children about their Creator and Savior anywhere I go, but especially in the public school! It is also a privilege to train and equip adults in reaching children for the Lord. I love being a part of a ministry that touches lives like this anointed ministry does. 

I have literally enjoyed a lifetime of Children's Ministry!  The past 40 years I have ministered to children in every imaginable setting.  At age 18 I was introduced to CEF in Bible College and taught my first Good News Club and was hooked!  It was at this time God spoke clearly and I knew in the deepest core of my heart that my "soul mission in life was to share Christ with children."  Joined CEF of Georgia as a full time missionary in 1999.  Presently serve as Director of the Heartland Region.  --There is nothing greater than reaching hearts for Jesus!  My passion and burden are great...and the mission field is vast and deep!  CEF is an awesome ministry to open doors to the children!  Children are hungry for God and gravitate to our ministries and lives are being changed!  Ministry to children is life changing not only to the children but to those of us who are involved.  Pray about getting involved.  Contact us… and lets get started! 

My mother lead me to the Lord after a pastor counseled me as a preschooler. He said I gave all the right answers but he didn't think I understood. After my husband Marvin fulfilled his military duty, he was led to the Lord through church visitation. We met and married at LSU. We started teaching Jr. Church under the tutelage of the CEF Director in Birmingham, AL. Marvin joined the local committee and I became a counselor for Tel-A-Story. We moved to TX where I received training. We moved to OK where I became a Teacher Trainer for 5 yrs. When we moved to GA I continued to serve as a Teacher Trainer for another 5 yrs. Our director retired and Marvin and I became Local Directors of CEF of Northeast Georgia. Marvin had to resign when he was asked to become a trustee for CEF International, Inc. I have continued to serve as Local Director of Northeast GA. When Marvin retired from teaching at Toccoa Falls College he started working with me full time.
